Summer Work Camp
Princeton IL ~ June 25, 2016
As a cosponsor of the Youth Workcamp here in Princeton, we helped with planning, getting snacks to the kids, and hosting a performance of the Cotton Patch Gospel at our church. Saturday our crew completed a painting project the kids were not able to do.

Red Cliff MN ~ 2015
Volunteers in Mission, Red Cliff Reservation, Minnesota, June 21-25, 2015
Because of volunteer efforts of 20 volunteers (5 from First Lutheran) during 5 days in June,
Hours of volunteer labor = 630
Value of donated labor using $15.50/hour = $9765
The additional registration money remaining will be donated to the various causes of VIM including the Red Cliff Reservation community. After consultation with the tribal contacts, this may include the Early Childhood Center, the elderly program, some social services need, youth programming, or some various tribal projects.
Volunteers come on their own time at their own expense t help the folks at the Red Cliff Reservation. Most say that they came to serve others and went home feeling served.
As we served we formed new relationships with these people, trust was built, and the love of Christ was visilbly present and tagibly felt for all involved. Being in mission for Christ to serve others is a life transforming opportunity. Next June we'll be able to host that opportunity here in Princeton through the Group WorkCamp, June 19-25, 2016.
